A Unique Climate Tech Cooperative from Industry Veterans
Energy transition might be the most challenging aspect of our global drive toward sustainability. Accordingly, key stakeholders will need effective means for sharing great ideas, building new relationships, and working together toward common climate goals.
Enter Dynamo Energy Hub. Founded by industry veterans, Meade Harris and Kristin Barbato, the New York-based cooperative was established to create a connected community of clean energy companies, start-ups, climate tech investors, and other interested parties.
I had the privilege this week to share an actual post-COVID-style face-to-face lunch with Kristin Barbato along the banks of Lake Mohawk, New Jersey. During our lunch, she shared her vision of how her team intends to make a meaningful difference in clean energy.
I learned first that Dynamo Energy Hub offers a unique set of resources to support the energy community. The company provides on-going and engaged support for members to network across the community, including face-to-face interaction in cities around the world
Second, the company offers flexible office and meeting space support in various cities to enable business interactions for members. Current Dynamo Energy Hub locations are in New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Austin, Denver, Houston, and Boulder.

Third, Dynamo runs curated events that bring together thought leaders and speakers from the clean energy community to enable networking and sharing of ideas. Dynamo is sponsoring, for example, an upcoming event in October 2022 with Credit Suisse on clean energy solutions.
Finally, the company helps start-ups with their marketing and brand promotion tasks, which in turn helps them expand their revenue and increase customer base. Support for creative climate start-ups is a key requirement for future global sustainability.
From a TAG Climate analyst perspective, Dynamo Energy Hub looks to offer an amazing set of resources for clean energy community participants. Any enterprise sustainability team, government energy team, or other stakeholder in this area would be wise to take a look.
As always, let us know what you think.
