This week we have been in the company of Fernando Miranda, Minister of Economy of Portugal, analysing on the one hand the challenges that the European Union faces in the year 2023, and at the same time, reviewing strategic projects in which the economies of Spain and Portugal will be greatly favoured, strengthening the collaboration ties between both countries.

Excellent meeting, also in the company of our Minister of Economy, Nadia Calvi?o, and this meeting was organized and coordinated through the Elcano Royal Institute of International and Strategic Studies, which is one of the best Think-tanks in Spain, and at the head with its President Juan Jose Ruiz, we have reviewed all of the strategic projects that unite us, to modernize and harmonize the two economies of the Iberian Peninsula. In a few weeks, we will be in Lisbon, to inform Fernando Miranda in more detail about all our projects with the Spanish-Portuguese participation.

On this important day, in addition to analysing the forecast situation of the economy in the European Union, we have also been talking about the projects that are being carried out in both countries with the help of "next generation" funds, NGEU we have also put on the table the future projects that will be carried out throughout these years of our firm, in which the common objective is to get closer to the European average income, maintain employment and talent in each of the regions of each country, and promote the scope of collaboration between both countries, to achieve sustainable development, which drives both economies to the first European level.

Within this project analysis, we focus on issues that are so important for the growth and development of the agri-food sector, (future development of the Marketplaces) both in Spain and Portugal, extremely important sectors in the composition of the gross domestic product of both countries, also of course, we have been talking about the projects that we are carrying out in our consultancy IBC & Partners in relation to the field of quantum cybersecurity (architecture of the new standard in cybersecurity at a global level), and the reference project of the battery plant for SUEVOLT automobiles in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, to maintain both production capacity and employment, with the collaboration of world-renowned universities in the nanomaterials area of Braga and Oviedo.

I do not want to miss this opportunity to thank the Portuguese Ambassador to Spain, Jo?o Mira Gomes, for the invaluable help and collaboration that he has provided to our firm IBC & Partners at all times, from the beginning of his diplomatic activity in Madrid, to all the Joint Spanish-Portuguese projects, in which the participation of the industrial, energy and financial sectors of both countries stands out, will result in significant economic development for both.
