Uniform for Sitecore 5.0

We are proud to announce the general availability of Uniform for Sitecore 5.0. Uniform for Sitecore decouples content delivery and personalization from the Sitecore CD server in order to enable the fastest possible personalized Sitecore sites, using the Sitecore site and license you already have.

Sitecore before Uniform

In a traditional Sitecore implementation, any issues related to the performance, infrastructure costs and scalability are sourced by the origin-based personalization and tracking coupled to the page rendering process and overhead of the distributed session state. On top of that, xDB design is single-origin, which adds latency into the picture. Under heavy load, it is not uncommon for the Time to First Byte (TTFB) to exceed 3 seconds.

Sitecore with Uniform

Uniform improves performance, reduces infrastructure costs and unlocks the elasticity of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) by decoupling delivery and personalization with tracking, allowing to serve the dynamic content from the closest Point of Presence.

Uniform for Sitecore capabilities

Uniform for Sitecore has two capabilities, which can be used independently or together:

1. Decoupled content delivery (Uniform Deploy) - Sub-second page load, instant & automatic global scaling with no Sitecore CD infrastructure. Deploy enables you to Jamstack-ify existing Sitecore sites, regardless of whether they are built using MVC, SXA or JSS.

You do not need to upgrade your Sitecore servers or license. If you are using MVC or SXA, you do not need to migrate your site to JSS to unlock the benefits of Jamstack. Incremental static site generation is a part of the Deploy capability, allowing you to implement Jamstack on larger sites without the cost of full static site re-generation after each publish. In addition, Deploy allows component-by-component migration from MVC to React, achieving the Hybrid Jamstack at your own pace and on your own terms.

2. Decoupled personalization and tracking (Uniform Optimize) - Get faster-than-you-can-blink TTFB (100ms or less), instant & automatic global scaling with significantly reduced Sitecore CD infrastructure. With Optimize, you configure personalization in Sitecore using the rules editor and all of the personalization conditions you are familiar with, but the personalization itself runs on your CDN.

This means personalized pages load in milliseconds, rather than seconds, and scale together with the elasticity of your CDN. Zero origin calls are made during personalization and tracking. You can choose where you want to dispatch the personalization analytics data - Google Analytics, xDB or a custom destination.

Decoupled content delivery + personalization and tracking (Deploy + Optimize). Get the benefits of Jamstack with full or partial site pre-rendering, TTFB in milliseconds and dynamic personalized content delivery, instant & automatic global scaling with no need for the Sitecore CD infrastructure.

Incremental adoption is a foundational aspect of Uniform. You do not need to implement everything all at once. You can start with Deploy and add Optimize later. Or start with Optimize and add Deploy later.

The reason why customers choose Uniform for Sitecore

Some of the reasons why our customers chose Uniform are:

This is really going to help us change the Sitecore world. Sitecore has a data model/editor experience. But scalability is very expensive in money and human resources. Can't wait to implement this.
