Unibody Fine-Bubble Diffusers @ Work
I'm going to let the pictures do (most of) the talking today. SSI started producing a single mold diffuser in 2016, which is a product that starts as a disc or rectangular shaped membrane, and has plastic molded all around it sort of like how a screwdriver has plastic molded around the metal shank. This is opposed to the conventional method of separately molding plastic and rubber parts and screwing or clamping them together.
The single-mold method saves labor and material and results in significant cost savings without sacrificing membrane quality, hydrostatic seal or product durability. Today we make a range of sizes of disc and tube type diffusers using the same method. There was initially some concern at SSI and our partner companies about how people would react to a diffuser whose membrane cannot be replaced. Concerned with their own labor and time out of service, many customers, we discovered, would rather unscrew and recycle or discard an old diffuser and screw a new one than take old diffusers apart, so long as the price is right.
We hope that you enjoyed the slide show. Contact us at SSI for further information about these installations or any other fine/coarse aeration or MBBR/IFAS related questions.
Please note at this time due to extremely high demand, we are only accepting full container orders for EC series products only. This limitation does NOT apply to the AFD/AFT series products which are available in plentiful supply at warehouses and distributors around the world.
Note the single-mold tube and disc products and manufacturing methods are patent-pending.
