Betrayal impacts us physically, mentally and emotionally. While it can shatter life as we’ve known it, causing us to pull ourselves out of a dark place we never expected to find ourselves, it directly affects our health, our work, and our relationships. In this blog post, we'll explore seven ways in which unhealed betrayal is affecting your professional life.
1.?????Confidence: Betrayal shatters our confidence, making it challenging to convey our message in a way that we want it to come across. This directly impacts our ability to ask for the sale, ask for the raise, introduce ourselves at a networking event, or make a call to someone we’re hoping to collaborate with.
2.?????Health and Energy: An unhealed betrayal dramatically impacts our health and level of energy . Managing stress-related symptoms, illness, condition, or disease while managing our business, in addition to any other responsibilities we may have like raising our kids, running our household, or taking care of elderly parents, can make running a thriving business nearly impossible.
3.?????Body: Weight changes are one of the most common physical symptoms of unhealed betrayal. Feeling uncomfortable in our own skin can affect our ability to do videos, speaking, networking, or any other aspect of our business that requires us to be seen.
4.?????Self-esteem: Betrayal shatters our self-esteem, along with our sense of worthiness. This directly impacts our ability to communicate what we do and who we serve. Without our own conviction, it's challenging for anyone to feel convinced that we can help them.
5.?????Ability to Trust: Betrayal shatters our ability to trust, making it challenging to know if we’re making healthy or unhealthy business decisions. We're also afraid to be a team player, do joint venture or collaborative projects, and we question if we can trust our boss, collaborative partner, or JV partner.

6.?????Beliefs: Betrayal often leaves us with negative beliefs about ourselves, such as not feeling valued, not enough, not capable enough, or lovable enough. Negative beliefs affect our thoughts and actions, making it challenging to succeed in our professional life.
7.?????Finances: An unhealed betrayal can impact our finances by affecting our confidence, energy, and ability to trust, all of which are necessary to succeed in our professional life.
Clearly, an unhealed betrayal affects not only our personal life but also our professional life. If you're struggling with betrayal, it's essential to seek support and work through the emotions to move forward…once and for all.
