A very unhappy USA Equal Pay Day!

In 90% of jobs, you're paid less, cause you're a woman.?

Today, #equalpayday marks the fact that as a full time working woman, you need to work until now - as well as ALL of last year - to make your wages catch up with what the average bloke made in 2022.?

So, an extra 2.5 months longer, to earn the same cash.?

And - it takes MONTHS longer for women of color to be made equal???


The gender pay gap numbers have barely budged in 20+years - and at this rate, it'll take another hundreds years or so at least to reach parity.

It's infuriating.


Here are some TANGIBLE resources that you may find helpful today:


1. Find the **Verified**?$$$?Salary of basically?any job in the USA?

Check out this website.

It's a little known site?that'll give you open slather access to real time salaries major USA companies are paying to their staff. Cool huh?

You can search by title, city, company and unlike some of the google sheets getting around it's verifiable because it's pulled from visa applications.?


2. Ask Congress to Pass the Paycheck Fairness Act

This site lets you with one click tell your Congress Person you want them to prioritize women's economic security.?

The law would make it harder?for companies?to justify pay disparity and easier for you to?hold?them?accountable?should you realize?you're?underpaid.

A no brainer right? (Shout out to the National Partnership for Women & Families for this one click resource)


3. Share Your Salary

Pay secrecy clauses have been outlawed in the USA, UK & Australia (only just this year in Oz, better late than never I guess...)

So you are, legally at least, free to share your salary and discuss your pay without fear of breaching your employment contract.?

So - book yourself?in for a cocktail or coffee with your BFF to talk?this week!
