Unforgettable experience at NMoQ

Recently I visited the National Museum of Qatar (#NMoQ) in Doha and was so awed by the desert rose architecture, I?wanted to get a remote snapshot of the petals with me in the photo. So, I placed my iPhone against the railing around the pond in front of the museum. While taking the shot with my watch from a distance, to my horror, a gust of wind knocked over my phone into the pond.

A member of the museum staff saw this happen and came rushing to the spot where the phone fell into the water. He marked the spot and spoke to two other staff members on how to get the phone from the murky waters. One of the staff member, Daniel, got a rubber suit and a net, waded through the waist-deep salt water to search for the phone among the stones in the pond bottom and recovered my phone after a long search!

I would like to #thank Daniel and the entire museum staff who helped me. I would like to let them know, the phone worked flawlessly after drying it for 24-hours. Attaching a photo I took before it fell into the water. #Amazing staff. I was deeply touched by their #selfless effort to #help me.

To me, this was a coming together of #humanity, #architecture, and thoughtful product #design, to make an unforgettable experience for me and I wanted to #share it with the world.
