Unforgettable My 2024 Adventure Around Brazilian States

Wow, what an unforgettable adventure!

I am very happy to share that my recent journey across several states of Brazil, which took me just under ten days to complete left me with memories that will last forever. This however is a different Brazil in many ways than the one that outsiders get to know- it’s colorful, varied, and deeply beautiful.

As I reflect on this journey, a travel quote comes to mind: "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." - Saint Augustine. Traveling through Brazil has allowed me to read a captivating chapter of this book, one that I will cherish forever.

I started my trip from S?o José do Rio Preto, then headed to the mega-city of S?o Paulo, a distance of about 274 miles (441 km) by road. As I stayed in the Pinheiros neighborhood for two days allowed me to experience the city's dynamic culture and vibrant life for the first time.

Next, I flew from S?o Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, a distance of 220 miles (353 km). It was my first visit to Rio in six years of my living in Brazil, and it did not disappoint. I spent one night in the Rio capital - the Ipanema neighborhood very close to the beach. I also went to such an iconic place as Cristo Redentor before moving on to Macaé – home for all oilmen. There, I stayed with my Nigerian friend who worked in the oil sector, experiencing the unique blend of Brazilian and international cultures for two nights.

From Macaé, my journey took a significant turn as I traveled 1,613 km by road to Campo Grande in Mato Grosso do Sul. The trip was a 25-hour epic bus ride, without adding the layover time and bus changing hours. Despite the long journey, the changing landscapes and the anticipation of new experiences kept my spirits high.

In Campo Grande, I was warmly welcomed by my newly acquired friend, Elias Eduardo , whose hospitality and kindness were truly touching. After meeting with Sergio Maciel Kronardt who was my mentor and guardian, Elias took me on a delightful lunch and a tour of the city. We visited the airport for my flight inquiries and explored memorable landmarks, every step taken contributed into making Brazil an indelible part of my life.

We must all have a mentor that will give us a purpose in life. @Sergio Maciel Kronardt, You're a great Mentor

Elias Eduardo Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your precious time with me and for the warm welcome you extended.

Soon, I will be able to share photos and videos from this amazing tour. Wait till you see a peep into this vibrant beauty that mostly people fail to understand about Brazil.

Brazil is indeed more beautiful than we are often shown in the international media. Today, I can proudly say that I love being recognized as Brazilian. This country somehow finds its way into your heart forever changing your worldview thereby becoming indivisible part of you because Brazil touches one’s soul like no other country in the world does.

"Traveling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." - Ibn Battuta. And indeed, I have many stories to tell from my Brazilian adventure.

Believe me, Brazil is a treasure trove of unforgettable experiences waiting to be discovered.
