Unfollow Now: The Bold Move.
?? Brace yourselves! Unfollowing is good, not bad ??
Here's the lowdown: I want my followers to unfollow if they're even debating it.
Crazy, right?
But it's a fundamental part of our follower's journey that cannot be ignored and should be encouraged.
Quality Over Quantity: Building a Tribe That Truly Vibes
Despite Nightlife Cambridge having the fastest-growing social media presence in hospitality in Cambridge that we can recall, I want anyone who follows us to be actually interested. When students finish their time at the universities in Cambridge and move on, our page is irrelevant to them, beyond nostalgia. I encourage those who no longer find our content relevant and useful to unfollow.
I'd rather have 2000 followers, all students or locals in Cambridge rather than 6000 followers, 1000 of which actually live in Cambridge.
?? Rocketing to the top isn't just about the numbers; it's about having a community that truly vibes with what we're throwing down.
We're not in the business of collecting followers like they're Pokemon cards. - We're about building a tribe of folks who genuinely like and get used to what we're serving up.
Sure, we could chase that big follower count, but what's the point if they're not here for the right reasons?
Should We Remove Followers?
It's a tough call for me; Nightlife Cambridge has been about for just over a year, and with most people staying in uni for 3+ years, I don't think it's time yet. Would I consider it in the future? Absolutely, I'd look at who's not engaged for months on end with our content and go from there.
It's nice to have massive follower counts, but realistically, that's just to brag at the bar.
