Unexpected Celebration

Unexpected Celebration

I checked my watch and was surprised to see it was 4 am, as I turned around, lo and behold there were at least over 200 people gathered, singing along. ??????

?What started out as a quiet dinner on the top floor of the Hilton hotel in Istambul, everyone on their best behaviour, trying to remain composed, mostly couples. We were the only 2 females having dinner together.

?After we cheered the New Year, I was bored and dragged my friend Jasmin to explore the hotel to see if something else was happening anywhere, after all, it was New Year. ?????

We checked out some belly dancers, next door, but nothing exciting. We ended up in the lobby. It was pretty quiet, I was almost ready to call it a night until I spotted a grand piano in the corner with a piano man playing some tunes. ????????

There were 4 empty stools, 2 on each side. We took 2 of them and a few minutes later, 2 more women sat on the other side.

Finally, the piano man played something I knew, and I said I know that song and sang along, the 2 other women joined in, and soon, the 4 of us were singing and laughing.

We ordered a few bottles of Turkish sparkling wine. Their version of champagne was very good. We were finally enjoying ourselves, singing. It lifted our spirits. ????

The lobby was starting to feel more electric, and I noticed a few more people joining in, but I was so caught up in the moment, knowing most of the songs. I belted it out like I was the star performer of the evening. ??

To this day, I haven’t had a similar experience. It was so unexpected. ?Perhaps it was the time, the age, or have I just given up on looking for that feeling, that excitement? Have I settled for what it is and stopped looking?

So what does this have to do with business? I asked myself to tie it with an experience or a client’s testimonial. This time, we will leave it as it is, a story.

As the New Year is fast approaching, I have decided to make some changes and be more spontaneous, and perhaps sharpen my manifesting skills.

This experience taught me that, when you wait for things to happen, it usually doesn’t no matter how much planning you put into it.

Stand out and be heard and surround yourself with people who make your world expand.

Have an amazing New Year 2023 ??????????????

May all your wishes come true and most importantly good health, wealth, and happiness.?Our purpose in life is to serve, and when you go with this mindset, everything just opens.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

Hey, love this concept of spontaneity Marjorie Gutierrez ??! I was just commenting on Richard van der Blom's awesome advice about sharing our true thoughts on others' LinkedIn posts. Then I read your intention to be more spontaneous and the timely quote: “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ―?Lao Tzu Maybe it's kismet? Thanks Marjorie. Looking forward to your content this year and sending you best wishes for 2023!
