Uneasiness

"Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come." ~Dwayne Johnson~

This morning I felt a sense of creeping anxiety during my morning mindful meditation.

Yesterday I started the LinkedIn: 30 Days Social challenge. My goal each day for the next 30 days is to author posts to increase engagement throughout my network. It’s one of the few changes I’ve made to be better than I was the day before & to counter my consistent inconsistency.

Why the anxiety? It wasn't the clinical, energy-sapping type of anxiety...it was more like an “Oh Shit! What am I gonna do? How am I gonna do it?” feeling. So, what am I going to do about it? And how will I go about it?

I’m going to include it in my morning routine.

About a year ago I tackled Mark Joyner’s Simpleology 30-Day Morning Person Challenge and have since adapted elements of it into what I practice today. I'm learning that taking care of yourself is one of the better ways to help others. If you don't have a consistent "you-centric" morning routine, I recommend adopting one. Google "habits of high performers"...Brendon Burchard will get you up to speed.

Wake Up Warrior's Garret J. White motivates me with the haunting mantra “Do The Fucking Work” b/c I constantly battle w/ my Self during each morning's Power Hour to make sure I address the Core 4: Body, Being, Balance & Business. Often, it takes me more than 60 minutes, but waking up @ 4:30 gives me two-and-a-half hour buffer before my day begins.

To help me turn the battle tide, I’ve been incorporating Jocko Willink's concept of “‘just do something’ every day” detailed in his book Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual

I've tackled challenges before, albeit inconsistently, but I'm no stranger to struggle...internal or otherwise. So why should this challenge be any different? I'm just going to write something every morning for the next four weeks and see what happens.
