Unearthing the "hidden gems".
As I travel around my region, I am continually fascinated by the diversity of the Varec installed base.
This week, I am in the beautiful state of Kentucky and had the pleasure of visiting the local distilleries (I know, tough job..but someone has to do it!) to understand more about their utilization of Varec products. This industry has some real history and some great stories to tell.
Boubon making has been going on for over 200 years, with almost the same recipes and practices, although today, these processes are somewhat automated and utilizes among other instruments, the Varec 2500 gauge.
In talking with the responsible maintenance engineers, I came to understand that many of these legacy 2500 gauges have been in use for more than 40 years, operate as well as the day they were installed and require little to no attention. How is that for a return on your initial investment!!
So as you settle down to your late night drink , rest assured that the inventory management and quality assurance needed to perfect the blend, was performed utilizing Varec's tried and tested mechanical gauging systems.
