Target Layer: BC2/BC1, DBM
Major Challenges:
- It is observed that even after using stander Grade & Slope sensors for asphalt pavers there are bumps in the top layer of road.
- Providing String for leveling
- Working at night during tight schedule
- Too much dependency on the field staff
- Manual/Human error
Proposed Solution: BIG SONIC SKI?
Big Sonic Ski which some OEM also calls Big Multiplex Ski is a proven and established technology of Sonic Grade Sensors in the longitudinal plane. It helps in leveling out all the irregularities, which otherwise is very difficult by conventional methods.
BIG SONIC SKI?:
Dual Averaging: It helps to average our irregularities by averaging out the error.
Result: Smooth Surface
How it works?
Average 1: At individual Sensor Level
Each sensor consist of 6 individual sensor. Out of these 6 sensors 5 continuously monitor the ground. Then 3 best reading (Ski1) will be taken into consideration. This helps in removing the unwanted irregularities.
Again averaging of these 3 reading will be taken and an artificial string line will be created. Due to this process of dual averaging undulations are removed, which otherwise was difficult in conventional method using string line sensor. Also due to this averaging principle some people call it Averaging beam.
