Field Notes: Installing New MRV Sites in the UK and Canada
Across the UK and Canada, our delivery team has been diligently working to establish new measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) sites.?
A lot of thought goes into site selection, as our team must balance tech development timelines, hardware deliveries and lab logistics to ensure the necessary tools are available and that samples are promptly delivered to the lab. They also navigate the complexities of varying crop types, soil conditions and local climates to ensure we capture a representative sample across our operational areas. These efforts are a testament to the precision and diligence of those in the field who are delivering ERW science day in and day out. For businesses considering our ERW solution, these MRV sites are the backbone of our commitment to providing reliable, data-driven insights that deliver measurable, scalable results in line with your sustainability objectives.
Connecting with the Canadian Business Community
We’ve partnered with Canadian Wollastonite and the Kingston Economic Development Corporation to officially announce our arrival in Ontario through a high-impact networking dinner.
Local, county and provincial political representatives attended as well as academics of universities we partner with. Establishing a foothold in Canada, particularly in Kingston and Ontario, is a strategic move to scale our enhanced rock weathering (ERW) solution across North America. This expansion enables us to deliver tangible soil and crop benefits while permanently removing CO? from the atmosphere. For businesses looking to invest in cutting-edge, scalable climate solutions our growing presence in Ontario represents a significant opportunity to align with sustainable practices that drive both environmental and economic value.
DID YOU KNOW? The UK Parliament released a POSTnote this month about the benefits and challenges of enhanced rock weathering as a CO? removal solution!
A Canadian Partnership Founded with Respect for Nature
领英推荐
This month, we welcomed key influencers and decision-makers from the Canadian carbon removal space to experience our operations firsthand.?
From the start, the partnership between Canadian Wollastonite (CW) and UNDO has been a natural fit, powered by aligned environmental values and a shared commitment to deploying nature’s resources for radical climate action. As showcased by this beautiful image, CW’s mine site is recognised as one of the most environmentally considerate in North America. Over 15,000 trees have been planted on the property, and several large wetlands have been established, leading to a notable increase in purple martin, duck and bat populations. Remarkably, less than 15% of the site’s 220 hectares are impacted by mining activities, preserving the majority of the original deciduous forest and leaving ample room for future environmentally beneficial projects.
This partnership exemplifies how sustainable practices can be seamlessly integrated into large-scale operations, offering a model for impactful collaboration in the carbon removal sector.
Coming to an Event Near You
This autumn, we’re excited to participate in several key sustainability events around the world.?
We’ll be speaking and attending, and we would love to connect with you in person if you’re planning to attend. These events are great opportunities to discuss how our enhanced rock weathering (ERW) solutions can align with your business’s sustainability goals.
If you’ll be at any of these events, we’d love to meet and explore how we can work together to drive impactful climate solutions.
