Funny enough however, this is one of my favourite clips from Big Bang theory-'undivided attention' that demonstrates how undivided attention can help us connect with people around and now it adds on to the energy of the other person while they are sharing that is important to them!

I think Undivided Attention is one of the best gifts we can give not just to others but even to ourselves!

When you give total attention to someone minus your own understanding - interpreting, explaining, judging

 you gain complete insight at a deeper level.

Hence, 

1. Look at people directly with a smile when you greet them (and of course greet everyone :))
2. Let people complete and listen like you are curious to understand a new perspective - they say, 'you can either speak or understand at one time'.
3. On your phone keep all notification off except for calls, they will not go anywhere if not checked real time. Remember who is the owner? You or the phone?
4. During meetings, leave your phones out or away from your vision.
5. Turn off your monitor and face them when someone comes to talk.
6. Repeat what you understood before you jump on to respond to anyone - also serves to address any confusion or misunderstandings immediately

** You will find that people will want to work with you, and you will get more done!
