The Earth was created with the most perfect structure. The design was drawn and executed by the Supreme Power that possesses all the knowledge, skills and talent and therefore, as human, we cannot observe and discuss a single flow in it. Rather we appreciate and praise the creativity and imagination of our Almighty Creator.
Planet Earth is the home for more than 8.7 million species, and the human occupies a tiny fraction of the Earth's overall biomass. However, the human steals the limelight. The human is more powerful over all other species for one specific reason: the brain and its ability to make conscious decisions.
With the power and potential laid within the brain, some people have discovered wonders and the created an everlasting footprint on the Earth. Figures such as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates brought revolutionary changes to the world and its people. The question I have at the moment is why have I not been able to do anything substantial yet? Is my brain working perfectly?
Of course, my brain (and your brain) is working perfectly but no, we couldn't still activate the power and potential within it. I am very sure of it. According to the normal pattern of life, we are born and raised by our parents. Our parents look after us in their best conditions, make us literate with their knowledge and skills, we go through the normal education systems and then as we turn into adulthood we start living on our own.
From the experience I had in life until I was 28 years old, I was never asked: "what is the purpose of yourself being on Earth?" Of course, during our secondary education years, teachers told me that you have a brain and you should use it wisely. So as instructed I used my brain and made decisions based on my learnings, desires and the culture scape. I made a lot of decisions against my family and friends, some of which I still regret. One of the regretful decision was to get married at the age of 20 years to a man my family did not approve. Although I regret the decision, several good things happened in my life, out of this relationship. The most significant one: it paved the way to the discovery of my life purpose statement.
After 8 years of suffering and blaming other people for the misery in my life, I had the "brink of midnight moment" where I learned that I am responsible for everything that happens in my life. I accepted my mistake and took 100% responsibility for my miserable life. Then I stepped on the journey of exploring the power of my brain and what is the purpose of myself on Earth.
After several questions, analysis and reflections I learned that every soul sent to Earth goes through the human experience to get ready for the eternal life. Allah SWT sent us to Earth as a trial so that with the power and potential laid within us and our brain, people are able to make conscious decisions and lead their journey towards the ultimate destination: Heaven or Hell. The challenges we face at different times of life gives us the opportunity to think, reflect and build on our resilience.
The moment we understand our WHY, we start utilizing the potential of our brain. We start with the END in mind. We create roadmaps and we strive no matter what the challenges are. As we overcome each challenge, we have another clearer, bigger and bolder road ahead. We learn how we can utilize our potential to the maximum and start our journey to create an everlasting legacy.

I hope you got some understanding of the importance of understanding your WHY. For some time, let us keep all blockages and ego aside and think about "what is your WHY". Internationally famous author and speaker Les Brown stated the cemetery is the richest place on the earth. A lot of people with powerful brains were dead before they realized that they could leave their footprint as a bold image to the world. Several unwritten stories, unsung songs, powerful ideas are buried there, but let us not repeat the history.
Steve Jobs asked himself every morning "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" He started asking the question a little late in his life, but today you might be just 18, 30 or 60 years old. Whatever the number is, does not matter. All it matters it to get started. So try to answer the following questions. (I have written my answers to help you write yours)
- Why am I here? (I am here to make a difference in the world, and to secure heaven for me)
- What do I really, really want in life? (I want to be the change agent and make the world a peaceful place to live, where everyone follows the religion of Islam and Islamic Sharia has adhered)
- Where am I going? (I am doing soul searching exercises for the last 9 years and I believe I am moving towards a life of fulfilment)
- What are my strengths? (strong and courageous, goal-oriented, the challenges I face strengthens my confidence muscles every day, When I am faced with challenges, I get up and ask myself, “what is the lesson for me in this situation?”)
- What are my weaknesses? (lack the work ethic to do persevered work, high tempered, need to talk softly, give up projects too quickly)
- If I achieve all my goals, what would it look like? ( The world will be a peaceful place to live for everyone and people work with their full potential.)
- What would your parents tell about you? (They would describe me as an obedient and hardworking child)
- What would your friends tell about you? (A very self-confident person, -Can do any task she is up to, -An inspirational person, -Good in communication skills)
- What would your teachers say to describe you? (Very hard-working student, -Courageous and confident, -Friendly to hang around)
- What do I value most? (Self-compassion, Perseverance, Courageous)
- Find the values in each answer for questions 7,8,9 and 10! (Obedient, hardworking, self-confident, can-do attitude, inspirational, good communicator, friendly, self-compassion, perseverance, courageous)
- What is the one thing you would do, even if you keep on failing over and over again? (public speaker, writing)
- What are the two qualities I love expressing in life? (Courage, Love, Joy)
- What are the 2 ways I love to express myself? (Inspire & Empower to unleash their potential, Uplift others)
- What would the world look like if it were perfect right now, according to me? (World will be a peaceful place to live and people can work in confidence with the superpotential within them)
- Now, combine your answers 11, 12 and 13, 14 into a single statement! (When I put all 4 of mine together, my life purpose is: * to inspire and empower people to live with purpose and unleash their full potential in the context of courage, love and joy, making the world a peaceful place to live!)
The statement that you wrote for question number 16 is your life purpose statement. Revisit and ponder about this, initially once every six months. Identify whether you have any new feelings or actions that you want to incorporate into this statement. Make several changes to it until you feel,
"yes this is me, this is whom I am going to be, and that is the place I want to be"
