Understanding your People

Understanding your People

In February 2024, the Productivity Commission of Australia released their findings around the current productivity trends.

According to them, “labour productivity fell by 3.7%?– well below the long-term average growth rate of 1.3%. This result was driven by a 6.9% increase in hours worked by Australians – the highest annual increase in history.”

Out of these stats, the most concerning number is the “6.9% increase in the number of hours worked”. This means that Australians have struggled with maintaining the work – life balance that we all seek and deserve. There are various factors that may have affected the increase in work hours, but at The Time Fix we believe that this is hugely because leaders’ and business owners’ understanding of their peoples’ definition of productivity could be very limited.

This is why we believe that knowing the Time Centric Archetypes of your people and facilitating a cohesive work environment becomes imperative, and according to neuroscience, humans are effectively productive for up to 6 hours a day. The rest of the time is spent in being human or somehow pushing through the day's work.
