Weak AI, also known as narrow AI, refers to artificial intelligence systems that are designed for specific tasks and are limited in their capabilities. These systems are not self-aware or conscious and can only perform predefined tasks within a certain range.

Weak AI is prevalent in our daily lives, powering virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa, recommendation systems on streaming platforms, and autonomous vehicles.

The key characteristics of weak AI include:

  1. Narrow Focus: Weak AI is specialized in performing specific tasks and lacks the ability to generalize its knowledge to other domains.
