understanding and taking control of your EMOD

Open invite for Integrated Care clients.... Ellerbrock-Norris?is hosting the seminar series on understanding and taking control of your EMOD.They will be taking a deep dive on the EMOD and why their EMOD scores tend to be higher than they could be. In the context of workers' compensation, EMOD stands for "Experience Modification Rate". It is a factor used by insurance companies to adjust the premium for workers' compensation insurance. The EMOD is calculated based on the employer's history of workplace accidents and injuries compared to other employers in the same industry.

In the context of workers' compensation, a "mod rate" or "experience modification rate" (EMR) is a factor used by insurance companies to adjust the premium for workers' compensation insurance. The mod rate is calculated based on the employer's history of workplace accidents and injuries compared to other employers in the same industry.

The mod rate is usually expressed as a percentage, with a baseline rate of 1.0 representing an average level of workplace safety compared to other employers in the same industry. If an employer has a mod rate above 1.0, it indicates that the employer has had more workplace accidents and injuries than the industry average, and the employer's workers' compensation insurance premium will be higher as a result. Conversely, if an employer has a mod rate below 1.0, it indicates that the employer has had fewer workplace accidents and injuries than the industry average, and the employer's workers' compensation insurance premium will be lower.

The mod rate is intended to encourage employers to maintain safe working conditions and reduce workplace accidents and injuries. By adjusting the premium based on the employer's safety record, the mod rate provides an incentive for employers to invest in safety programs and training to reduce the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.
