NKJV 2 Corinthians 4:16
Seeing the Invisible Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
NKJV Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
When you read these verses it seems like there is a contradiction. When writing to Corinthians he tells them that the inward man is being renewed day by day but then you read his letter to the Colossians you find out that the new man is already renewed. It does look like a contradiction at the first glance but let's go deep into this.
In his letter to the Corinthians Paul tells them that our inward man is being renewed but he wasn't talking about renewed in knowledge but in life. I want you to look at it from the message translation and maybe it will help us understand better:
MSG 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.
We begin to notice that life in our inner man is constantly being renewed by the Holy Spirit. I know we say that once you are born again it becomes permanent and your spirit will be this way forever and it's true. Even when we will go to heaven nothing is going to change in our spirit but still God is shining His grace, love and purity. Everyday our spirit is being renewed, the Holy Spirit is like fuel for our spirits without Him our spirit starts to attract the wrong stuff.
This is a mystery and it's the difference between those that are born again and the ones that aren't. When Adam disobeyed God He lost his connection to God and the Holy Spirit left. The spirit of man couldn't rule without the spirit of God. So man immediately began to function by his 5 physical senses and became carnal. That's why he could notice that he was naked.
When you got born again this happened:
NKJV 1 Corinthians 6:17
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
You got joined to the Lord. It's not the old man that was joined but the newly created man. That word one in the Greek it means oneness to the exclusion of another. It's like two taps water are open and are pouring into the same glass. After ....continue reading https://bit.ly/2Xf0CFH
