As your Android app grows in size and complexity, you may encounter the 64K method limit, which is a constraint on the number of methods that can be referenced within a single DEX (Dalvik Executable) file. This is where Multidex comes into play.
Multidex is a feature in Android that allows your app to split its code across multiple DEX files, enabling it to surpass the 64K method limit. This ensures that your app remains functional and scalable as you add more features, libraries, and dependencies.
To enable Multidex in your app, you need to update your build.gradle file by setting multiDexEnabled true under the defaultConfig. Additionally, you may need to include the multidex support library for devices running versions of Android lower than 5.0 (Lollipop).
