Understanding The k-ε Turbulence?Model

The k-ε turbulence model still remains among the most popular. Most known is the Standard k-ε turbulence model.

In the following posted on TENZOR blog a thorough evaluation of the model and its drawbacks are presented.

That's a good point. I shall dedicate a post containig both models (I hope the readers shall not run away upon RNG theoretical background though...)

Nice post ! A word about RNG and Realizable versions of k-epsilon model would make it even more complete. Not sure standard version is a good idea to use, since RKE leads to far better results (better than ske in a large range of flows, gets rid of stagnation point anomaly... but it's still EVM !).

Thank you Mark Wyatt. It makes one satisfied to know it's appreciated. v2f will surely be one of the posts ??. My first encounter with the model was through Prof. Lars Davidson's (Chalmers) lectures. It's certainly a special one.
