Why am I writing this book?

A good question in current situations when most of the new generation (should we say WhatsApp generation?) is not reading any books and their knowledge is completely based on propaganda on various media channels. When I see people believing statements as –Our first President was forced by Nehru to BEG on the streets because he supported Sardar Patel in building Somnath Temple OR movie like “Kashmir Files” showing conspiracy hacked by Indira Gandhi to kill Lal Bahadur Shastri and become Prime Minister and this generation believing it. Or the basics of partitions and blaming Nehru instead of thanking him about it.

I felt that let me do some research and present the actual facts and the conditions behind the decisions taken and those decisions being the MOST CORRECT DECISIONS in given situations. We in management always say “Nothing is RIGHT or WRONG on it’s own, the environmental situations at that time” To understand this let me give a simple example

How will you travel to Delhi from Mumbai?

The answers will keep changing with situation and environmental conditions e.g.

1.??????If you are travelling with family including people of various ages for site seeing you will travel by train by sleeper /Second A/c depending on financial conditions

2.??????If you are travelling with Senior citizens with heart conditions you will travel Rajdhani/ Duranto by Second/First A/C depending on financial conditions

3.??????If you are travelling with your young wife, you will travel by Air booking tickets in time to reduce financial burden

4.??????If you are travelling on company duty, you will travel by method allowed by the company rules

5.??????If you have purchased a new SUV and enjoy driving and are adventurous you will take a road trip

I can go on and give more modes of travel and every mode will RIGHT for that situation and environmental conditions. Like I do not travel to Delhi from Pune by Air on Saturday mornings in winter as most of the time the incoming flight is late and airstrip is closed for AIR-Force sorties between 11-1600 hrs. and you are sitting on airport killing time

I also laugh at people when someone says this particular village has got water connection OR electricity OR road connectivity after 70 years of independence. See the Government has not done anything for villagers. One must ask a question before making such comments what was the conditions of the village 70 years ago? Was there any such village in existence 70 years ago? How many families stayed at this place 70 years ago? The answers most probably are there was NO such village in existence 70 years ago.

Remember success of politicians depends on HOW CONVINCINGLY HE/SHE CAN TWIST THE FACTS AND MAKE PEOPLE BELIVE THEM

So, one should understand the situations and environmental conditions before saying the decision taken 50-70 years ago were WRONG

In my this book I am going to explain the situations and environmental conditions but not going to make any comment whether the decisions were RIGHT or WRONG. I will leave it to you to decide.

The chapters start with our FIRST PM and end at Manmohan Singh. Every one is watching the current prime minister and can decide by themselves on his decisions.
