A Hotelier’s Perspective on Check-In and Check-Out Times in Malaysia
Hey there! As someone deeply involved in the hospitality industry, I wanted to share some insights on why our check-in and check-out times are set the way they are. Recently, there’s been quite a bit of chatter about this topic, so I thought it would be helpful to explain things from our side.
Why 12 PM Check-Out and 2 PM Check-In?
You might wonder why we ask guests to check out by 12 PM and only allow check-ins starting from 2 PM. Well, there’s a good reason for this!
Flexibility is Key
We understand that travel plans can be unpredictable. That’s why we try to be as flexible as possible. If you need an early check-in or a late check-out, just let us know! We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, sometimes for a small additional fee.

Addressing Concerns
I know there are some hotels that practice unusual timings, like check-ins as late as 4 PM. But trust me, as an experienced hotelier, this is really rare. Neither I nor my colleagues, general managers, or even hotel owners support such late check-in times. We believe in providing a seamless and convenient experience for our guests.
Recent Discussions
Lately, there’s been a lot of discussion about check-in and check-out times, especially on social media. The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) is even planning a special meeting to address these concerns. We’re keeping a close eye on these developments and are always open to feedback to improve our services.
In Conclusion
I hope this gives you a better understanding of why we have these check-in and check-out times. It’s all about ensuring you have a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable stay with us.
