Understanding.

Understanding.

“I don’t understand why you would do that” cue my Dad when I left a successful professional career to become an entrepreneur.

I also used to find myself constantly thinking things like “I can’t understand why that person would do that”; “I can’t understand why that person wouldn’t own up and apologise”; “I can’t understand why that person would blatantly lie”; “I don’t understand why that driver wouldn’t say thank you”.

Blah blah blah.

Here’s the end to ALL your suffering around this:

Who cares?!

You don’t need to understand why other people do what they do; and you don’t need to justify why you choose to do what you do either.

Truth be told you will never understand why other people do things, say things, behave in a certain way - because they have a UNIQUE view of the world. And they are the ONLY one who will know why they do the things they do.

When I bought my Range Rover, so many people said “I don’t understand why you’d pay that kind of money for a CAR”, along with “I don’t understand why you’d pay that much for champagne when there are perfectly good Proseccos”; “I don’t understand why you would….. “

So what?!

You don’t need to, and you will never understand.

Because more than anything - don’t try to understand the way other people release money - you will never understands that! Ever.

You see, your conscious mind is programmed to look for understanding, patterns, things that make sense. Then when it can’t make sense of something it goes round and round in circles trying to work it out.

ENOUGH.

Stop wasting precious moments (hours/weeks) of your life trying to understand things that don’t matter.

It doesn’t matter.

The End. ??
