Understanding of different Beliefs

Understanding of different Beliefs

I’ve had a transformation in the way I’ve been perceiving people’s beliefs, how it affects me and the guidance I give people. My understanding was almost there, however it took a conversation with a friend last night and a podcast on the way into work this morning for me to have an AHA moment around this. I now realise how I can be really effective in guiding those seeking my advice!

What are beliefs?

Beliefs are literally a thought we keep thinking about over and over again and with focus on that thought and the events around us, the belief is reinforced.

Now it is important to note that no two people perceive the world the same through our 5 senses; sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Therefore, consideration comes into the picture when someone is displaying a belief that does not match yours.

For example, Person A could believe (based on what they heard from someone else) that if they have a cold and eat green soup, they’ll immediately feel better. They pass this advice onto their unwell friend Person B and say “oh you have to have green soup it will definitely make you feel better, it cured me within a day.”

Now this friend who has never really perceived and thought this before tries out the soup and alas this action does not help them. It does not help them as, in truth, they did not believe the cure around the soup in the first place.

It is now up to Person B to be aware and accept Person A’s belief and not taint this as Person A perceives the world differently. This belief is SERVING THEM and making THEM FEEL WELL.

It is up to Person B, to go on a quest to find something that they believe will make them feel well.

Person B has the awareness that this belief is installed into Person A’s mind and this is why it is working for them. They understand that anything you TRULY believe with 100% faith comes into fruition. Therefore, they don’t become aggressive and rude and tell that person their advice was “nonsense”.

Now, Person A may genuinely have the ability to install this belief into Person B and it if works it works. A new serving belief has now been formed in Person B that will make them feel well and is therefore a positive result.

This is where it is essential for humanity to accept each other’s beliefs if it’s making us FEEL GOOD. When people feel good; joy, happiness and peace transpires. This applies to religion, politics, sickness remedies etc. When we learn to accept each other’s perceptions and beliefs absent of judgement and with compassion, our whole world changes.

Then again, a belief may not be serving someone. However, it is up to this person to realise whether this belief is or isn’t serving them and up to them to ask for guidance and be open to forming a new belief.

It is important for me to guide people into realising what beliefs ARE and ARE NOT serving them. THEY need to come up with the answer and become open to assistance in transforming this belief.

A number one indicator is being aware of how the belief is making them FEEL. If it is not making them feel good, then it may be time for a new belief to occur to allow more of an inflow of well-being.

Let me know your thoughts and if this was helpful for you.
