Where and when air is mixed. Air direction the VAV or FPB for further control of air and mixing. In chill water operations you have many more maintenance areas to think about. Is it air cooled condenser or water cooled condenser tower. Is the water treatment ensuring bacteria growth is kept safe. is the circulating water treated to keep calcium from plugging tubes. Are pumps and auto fill valves working properly. Are the chiller towers cascade system able to remove the heat as they should. These systems in most facilities are not properly cared for, Some due to the excessive cost of upkeep. Much to do with facilities being cheap on an extremely expensive system that takes constant care. Then poor technician skills. We have very few technicians with the skills to manage such equipment. Especially when it's antiquated. Infrastructure problems. Matching old to new control system and controlling every aspect of an old system change out. Air economizing, To water valves. So simplifying these systems is underestimating them and their parts.
