The impact bias in hiring has on our economies is staggering; costing an estimated 450 - 550 billion dollars per year; increasing turnover 3 times.
And bias, though it's a well documented fact supported by third party, peer reviewed research conducted by major universities and the government, gets very little funding. It's like despite how real the impact to all of us, there's just not any money left in the coffers of VCs and Angel Investors to fix the problem.
Partly that's because the people with the money need to be convinced that someone other than me cares about this problem. And one way we can do that is to show them that in less than 30 days we were able to secure 100's of investors.
That's where you come in.
If you can invest in our mission to #EndBiasInHiring, make an investment.

1 年I actually think the workforce and its make up is going through a phase of change. much like the 70s and other times Industry is changing and morphing to accomodate new business models. in the 70s it was automation combined with the emergence of a global workforce. this enabled companies to offshore their manufacturing. the new factories could accomodate automation, reduced liabilities (worker comp, taxes, Healthcare and pension payments) it also put wages at a much lower set point and helped increase profitability. then they began outsourcing and offshoring engineering for the same purposes. this escalated with the birth of the internet. engineering teams could coordinate efforts. then came DotCom and they began offshoring phone support, and other services. then came chat bots and other automation. in arrives robotics, ML, and AI. a Trifecta of technologies on top of the internet and cloud computing base. what is the shift. Small Agile resilient core employees being supported by contract gig and temp workers. Price Waterhouse Cooper's Workforce 2030 report states that the expectation is that 50% of the workforce will fall into those categories. what is special about these categories is a reduction of benefits.
