Understand this so you can get 100% from your team

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well because I want you to be 100% focused so you can understand my message!

Everyone wants to be different, and surely everyone wants to feel special…

No matter how unique someone may feel, we all fall into a pattern. Those patterns bend to the needs that we have. And yes, our needs are different - Even one person has different needs in different periods of their life.?

Once we are aware of our needs, we increase our chances of becoming who we really want to be.?

You see, everything that you will ever want in your life falls into one or more of these 5 subconscious needs.


?????Certainty - Everyone wants to feel secure and safe when they think about their future. The problem is that we need positive recognition to feel it… We want it to feel authentic and we want recognition to last forever - which is impossible.?

When you need constant certainty it’s like you expect your life to stay the same - Which is unthinkable.? You cannot control people and situations in your life, no one can.

You can recognize it every time you think and visualize how you want your life to be, then you switch back to reality and realize that most of the time it doesn't happen. You may get angry or discouraged because of it.?

People who feel fulfilled have learned to manage uncertainty and expect the unpredictable as they realize certainty is not real, it is just a mind hack.


?????Variety - As much as we like things to stay the same, we often get bored if nothing different happens. No one likes monotony. That’s why people are not happy with routine jobs.

We all prefer variety, but of course, together with certainty - Which is another near-impossible mission.


?????Significance - It’s a two-edged sword. It can either be productive or destructive, depending on the mindset. When it’s productive you feel proud of your accomplishments and motivated to do better.

When it is destructive, you can recognize it through self-sabotaging behavior. It’s a good thing to receive praise for doing something positive. But, many people find ways to feel significant by creating significant problems.


????Love and Connection - We are social creatures; we desire human connection and love… Everyone wants to feel valued and to be treated with the dignity they deserve.?

People are constantly seeking out a close relationship with someone or something. This can lead to some incredibly fulfilling relationships - But it can also cause you to sacrifice self-care in order to take care of others or maintain a partnership.

You have strong social ties, but you can sometimes lose your sense of self and find it hard to say “no”.?

People who desire real connections are willing to be vulnerable and create deeper, more meaningful relationships.


?????Growth and Contribution - Simply put, these people know that the secret to living is giving. This need can be found in nature, it’s the only need that doesn’t bring us down but helps us to move on in a consistent manner.?

If you put this need as the basis of everything you do, I can guarantee you will feel fulfilled. In nature, when you don’t contribute, or grow, you disappear.?

People that I’ve worked with and had a great deal of drive were also telling me that as soon as they started growing, they were clear as well about their contribution, without much external recognition.


The need to learn, grow and evolve is a sign of a great life.?

In the first part of our career, we are looking for more power (e.g “I wish to manage people, make an impact, and have more visibility”) - We translate this through forces that we gain to drive results.?

The only issue is that force requires a lot of energy and no one has unlimited resources. You will eventually become tired and unsatisfied if you continue like that. This is when we need certainty, and maybe significance.?

The higher we go in our career path, we understand that we can’t evolve unless we manage to do more with less effort. You know that saying “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”?


As you discover the power, you will be able to do anything as you connect with people based on growth - Yours and theirs, and the contribution that you all can bring.?

You don’t have to control people and tell them what to do. Power comes from love, growth, and contribution.?

As a leader when you have power instead of force, it looks like that:

Imagine that you are in a room with 100 candles and you need to light all of them up.

When you use force, you light them up one by one. When you have power, you light so much that they’re lighting all at once, without you having to go to each and every one of them.
