Welcome to the fifth posting explaining marketing, written for non-marketeers. Initially it was made for internal use but I realized that it could be of interest also here.


Marketing involves understanding the customers through data analysis and market trends to make informed decisions, tailor messages, and adapt strategies for effective outreach and competitiveness.

Marketing also involves learning more about the customers. By analyzing data and market trends, one can gain valuable insights into what the customers like, need, and how they behave. This information helps one make better decisions about how to market the products and reach more customers effectively.

For instance, market analysis can reveal details, purchasing habits, and preferences, enabling one to tailor the marketing messages to specific audience segments.

Surveys, feedback forms, and social media interactions provide direct input from the customers, allowing one to address their concerns and improve our offerings. By staying informed about market trends and customer needs, one can anticipate changes and adapt the strategies to remain competitive and relevant.
