SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING: Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, And May Complicate Pregnancy.
It's on the side of every pack of cigarettes. While informative, the warning does little to persuade people not to smoke.
You see a picture of a beautiful young woman that switches to an unrecognizable grotesque old woman with obvious throat cancer saying, "I wished I never saw a cigarette or picked one up."
The caption reads Robin died two days after this video. She was 53.
Emotion is definitely one ingredient you must invoke instead of just informing. 1.5 million people immediately joined programs to stop smoking after the first airing.
The difference is startling and if you can master that concept, you will lead your competition in the minds of prospects and clients.
