Undercarriage Parts (Brief Introduction)
"Undercarriage Parts" consist of "Sprocket" & "Carrier Roller (Top Roller)" & "Front Idler" & "Track Roller (Bottom Roller)" & "Track Link / Track Link Assembly".
Sprocket
Sprockets transfer the driving loads from the final drive to the track through the bushings.
Proper sprockets can improve track & bolt bushing wear life.
The undercarriage system performance depends on suitable chain-sprocket assembly.
In other words , your choice for sprockets will determine if the operation is smooth or not.
Carrier Roller (Top Roller)
Located above the frame rail. A carrier roller supports the weight of the top section of track as it rolls between the idler and the sprocket. In addition, it guides the track to maintain alignment on the upper portion of the track between the idler and sprocket.
Front Idler
Serves as a guiding support for the track chain at the front of the track roller frame. It adjust the position via sliding blocks for correct setting of track tension & guiding during the spring operates.
The front idler has a lifelong oil lubrication filling. Its running surfaces have been hardened to reduce wear. The spring unit protects the complete undercarriage against overloads from outer influences.
Track Roller (Bottom Roller)
Mainly support & guides the machine on the track. At the same time, they roll on the track links or track shoes. Besides, track rollers are used to prevent track links from slipping laterally. When the machine changes its direction, they force track links to slip on the ground.
Track Link / Track Link Assembly
Driven by a driving wheel, surrounded by a flexible link by the driving wheel & road wheel & induction wheel & carrier wheel. Track links consist of track shoes and track pins. A track pin connects each track shoe to form a track link. Holes on both ends of a track shoe to mesh with the driving wheel, with the induction wheel in the middle to keep the track link in the right track. Reinforced anti-skid rib (referred to as pattern) on the side that contacts the ground to improve the firmness of the track shoes and the adhesion between the track links & the ground.
