The MUSIC Industry


The Music Industry needs to find another way to make a living.

Artists haven’t been selling albums, singles for decades. Touring and concerts has become their income source. Now with Covid this is going to be an issue. 

As a retailer we have been experiencing a similar problem …we are closed and we can’t let customers into our store. We came up with a solution by doing a walk through the store with a video camera and then linking the products in the video to the URL in our online store through a product pop up tile on the video. The result is the early version of what we believe could become the future virtual shopping experience. But since this article is about the Music industry let me get back to my point. As we were developing this virtual retail shopping experience I realized that this would work amazingly well within Music Videos.  

So here is how it works …Artists produce a music video and often within that video are products that the audiences would like to be able to purchase. With todays online sales and fulfillment services there is the ability for the audiences to find the products online by searching. Often this searching can be time consuming and you are not sure you have found the same product.
