Under local anesthesia, How Much Will Your Foot Shape Improve After arthroereisis surgery for flat foot?

Flat feet have two main characteristics:

  1. A low arch
  2. Hindfoot valgus

Before surgery, patients with flat feet often have a noticeable outward tilt when viewed from behind, as shown in the picture.

You might wonder how hindfoot valgus changes post-surgery.

It changes beautifully, just like this! The outward tilt straightens right out. This can also be confirmed on an X-ray.

The key point here is that this patient is only two weeks post-surgery.

  • The surgery was performed under local anesthesia.
  • The patient was able to walk and was discharged the next day.
  • At the two-week follow-up, the patient walked into the clinic, stood for photos, and even had an X-ray taken.

This is what we can call a revolution in flat foot surgery!

This is a procedure that no one else in the country can perform, but it's possible here with me.
