Unconventional Business Strategies
In the 1880s, Henry Crowell bought an oat mill to provide feed for horses. The business was struggling when Henry turned to God in prayer for a creative solution for his business woes.
God led Henry to begin selling his oats to people as a breakfast cereal. This was an unconventional strategy, because oats were sold from insect infested barrels in general stores for horse feed.
Selling oats for human consumption seemed crazy!
Henry designed a cardboard box filled with rolled oats to place on grocery store shelves. Today we know Henry’s company as Quaker Oats.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”
If you need an unconventional strategy for your workplace, pray, listen, and let God guide your steps.
