Uncertainty : Victimhood to Mastery
When I wrote the title, the sheer possibility of being in control of my life was totally inspiring. I used to blame circumstances for my pain but, I was happy to take ownership of my successes. All the frustration, anger and disappointments was dumped onto the world, while all the joy was accepted with a sense of entitlement. Complete hypocrisy!?
When we take responsibility for our choices, we realize that life is an outcome of our thoughts and emotions.
This is where the road to mastery begins. Till we expend our energy externally, we are unable to harness the energy internally to unleash our potential. When I decided to walk down the path to leadership, owning up to my choices was a difficult place to be. Till then, my identity had rested on feeling like a victim and there was an odd comfort in being there because I excused myself from taking onus of the outcome.

Oddly, I wanted to control the outcomes, yet, evidently, I was not in control. This paradox was a low blow. I decided to take a pause and contemplate on how to move forward. This pause helped me reconnect with my inner voice, our inner guide and true friend. Awakening to the elixir of life, I committed to developing a relationship of trust with my inner voice.
From hereon started the journey to shedding the ego. I discovered that my head was filled with so many perceptions, there was little room for creative thinking. Ploughing through my thoughts, I confronted my stories and beliefs. Letting go and understanding my true reality has been very empowering and rewarding. Above all, I have been able to find my calling as a coach and express the observer through different mediums such as leadership coach, author, motivational speaker and entrepreneur. Living true to myself, life has become fulfilling and joyful. I have learnt to ride the waves of change gracefully, by turning adversities into opportunities to grow as a human being.
