UNCCA attending UNCITRAL Insolvency Working Group V

The UNCITRAL National Coordination Committee for Australia (UNCCA) is pleased to have three members of its expert advisory committee attend, online, the session of UNCITRAL’s Working Group V – Insolvency, being held in New York this week.

The three are Lee Pascoe of Norton Rose Fulbright, Tony Ryan of Ashurst Australia, and Assistant Professor Casey Watters of Bond University.?

The Working Group's session is examining civil asset tracing and recovery, and the applicable law, both in the context of insolvency proceedings, among other topics. ?

?A report on the outcome will be available shortly.?Working Group V recently finalized its work on a legislative guide on insolvency law for micro- and small enterprises, of significance to Australian law.??

The next meeting is in Vienna in December 2022.
