It’s not just a buzzword thrown into meeting rooms or motivational speeches—it’s the pulse that drives groundbreaking ideas, elegant solutions, and exceptional user experiences. But cultivating creativity is a craft, not a coincidence. Let me share a story from my journey and how a simple, unconventional tool unlocked an extraordinary wave of teamwork and innovation in my product team.

The Puzzle Experiment

Some time ago, I introduced jigsaw puzzles to the team I was working with, not as a metaphor for solving problems, but as a literal challenge. It wasn’t your typical team-building exercise. I wasn’t aiming to have people sit around a table and “bond.” Instead, I wanted to observe something deeper: how we collaborate when we’re all solving the same problem in real-time, armed with nothing but our wits and perspectives.
