Unbiased Decision Making ? A truth or a myth ?
Let me introduce myself as a software engineer who just got his job , came to Hyderabad and also my gf , who came here for the same from my college itself .
Now one day we went to inorbit mall , signed up for some free gifts and within 7 days , i received a call that I am among those 25 lucky winners . So my gf become excited knowing that we ll receive kitchen sets , free coupon of 5000 rupees and we have to go there as married couple . She became ready and forced me to go . Well after going there , we come to know that one opening ceremony is there of a tourist club and one person ll tell us about the program and after that we can receive our gifts . Now , i was actually watching all the other people joining for the plan while my gf was getting excited about the program that they offered just like other travel club offers . Now she tried to tell me why we should do it . So I simply said okay we can take a decision by tomorrow . Then she discussed about it and came to know that the offer is valid for today only . So she wanted to go for it by today itself . I asked her the program is only for married couples and it needs to be used within 1 year otherwise we ll miss the first 7 holidays . Surprisingly she told me well I am ready to get married . And it was a shock , throughout our 4 years of college life , we dint even decide when to get married actually . So that one offer made her realize that this is the correct time to get married .
At that point I was like what should I do . Then I realized okay let me find out the reason first . And I come to conclusion that she is so much interested because she is always busy with her study and obviously with our relationship and now a days she is busy with her work and again with our relationship . So she finds it a great deal for our family planning . Now , i asked them to give us some time to talk and I opened my browser and showed her other travel club plans . Now again one shocking moment , she become confused which one to choose . Then she come with an excuse and left the place to find out the best plan and the funny thing is , she dint come to the conclusion till now which plan to choose ....
And the last thing that I shouldn't forget to tell you is we actually signed up two forms for that free gift and the very next day , she got the call as winner of lucky draws , so she is now thinking them as marketers who are giving gifts to get some deals as she also noticed max winners to grab the deal blindly . I am not getting into the point whether the deal was the best one or not . I don't wanna get into the topic whether the other winners were fool or not . What I want to do is to play a situation game now ...
#Now_let_me_come_with_some_situations ?
1 . What could happen if they don't invite us for the winning prize ? What could happen if they would like to invite us for participating in their deal discussion ?
2 . What could happen if I accepted for the deal ?
3 . What could happen if I din't show her the other offers ?
You can think about the whole scene to judge if unbiased decision making actually exists ?
Hope you enjoyed reading the story (The story was imaginary by the way ) . Thank you .
