Una news - we're expanding!
Hi everyone. My name is Sarah, and I am the co-founder and director of UNA, formerly known as the Northern Nanny. This little blog is a bit of a catch-up to let you know all of the things we've been busy working on over the last few weeks.
We've hit the end of January, and it's been a strange month. As you know, we've entered a new national lockdown, and that has had a huge impact on everybody right across the country,
including ourselves. We've seen our services slow down a little bit in the first couple of weeks, and then really pick up in the last two weeks. That being said, what have we been up to in January? Well, it’s Great news from UNA! We have decided to expand our services right up into Newcastle. We are actively recruiting for nannies and families in the Newcastle area. Therefore, if you are struggling to work from home, and you think there might be a way that we can support you, please get in touch.
We have also been on a huge recruitment drive in Teesside, and we've almost doubled
our nanny team now which is really exciting. We've got some wonderful new childcare providers on board. Hence, if you're in the Teesside area and you know you're struggling with homeschooling, please do not hesitate to get in touch, as we've had a lot of inquiries from parents who are actually working from home but are just struggling to keep up with their own volume of work and the volume of work coming from the schools. These families probably just need that little bit of extra support, so that the kids can get three hours of schooling done without them, with somebody that's still appropriate to be able to help them with that level of work. If that sounds like you, this is the kind of thing we are able to help you with, so please reach out and get in touch.
We also have been working incredibly hard over the past year to pull together some amazing training, and to launch this on our own training platform. I'm really excited to say that it is almost ready to launch now. We'll be launching with two free courses.
The first free course will be all about families. It's all going to be based around discovering what is the kind of childcare that you need for your family, looking at the variety of different options of childcare and finding that available, and narrowing down whether perhaps nanny care is the right care for you and your situation. The second free course that will be available on the platform when we launch, is a course that basically gives a really clear introduction and a helpful guide about nannying. Hence, for anyone interested in going into private childcare or self-employed childcare, this is a really great way for you to learn about the history behind nannying and to discover its roots, the legalities behind nannying, and really get a good core of information to make the decision as to whether that's the appropriate childcare path that you would like to go in. That being said, it's all really exciting!
We’ve been working really hard and I think nationally, we've had a bit of a tough January but we're looking forward to having a better February. And again, if you are struggling with childcare from home right now and whether that be in the Teesside area or the Newcastle area, or even Further afield, get in touch now to find out how we can support you, and I look forward to
speaking to some of you, hopefully very soon.
Thank you.
