UN Global Compact - Progress Report

This week we were delighted to submit and have endorsed our activity report to the UN Global Compact for the year to July 2019. Our full report is publicly available at: https://www.unglobalcompact.org/participation/report/cop/create-and-submit/active/430586

The UN Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. It is a call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals. In addition to details of our internal policies relating to safeguarding and our actions in support of our environmental policy, the report details in particular our work over the past year in Yemen, where we undertook twenty activities providing basic services for around 1.8 million Yemenis (women, men, boys, and girls) to help them better resist the damaging effects of conflict, enhance their quality of life, and increase their sense of security.

Whilst we are proud to have secured the Global Compact Active level we are commmited to striving to secure the Advanced certification over the coming period by demonstrating we have adopted, and report on, policies and processes in the areas of: Corporate Sustainability Governance & Leadership; Implementing the Ten Principles into Strategies & Operations in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment, Anti-Corruption and UN goals and issues.
