Requires between 1-3 years of experience.

Senior Consultancy:
Specialized education, more than 12 years experience (the equivalent of a P4 or a P5)
Remark: The work entails the analysis of complex issues or the development of new methods/approaches requiring the identification and in-depth examination of numerous technical factors, as well as policy considerations while providing solutions to technical problems or in the formulation of programme and policy proposals.
Very Senior Consultancy:
Very specialized education, more than 12 years experience (D1 and >)
Remark: This corresponds to an advisor, representative assignment which is recognised by the Programme as providing authoritative advice on policies and strategies which are accepted virtually unchanged and/or committing the Programme to a course of action on the policy and strategic issues concerned. The policy issues will directly affect the operation of major systems and programmes of the Programme.
Remember one thing, you do not have to be an expert with many years of experience to join an international organziation as a consultant. Consultancies at all levels exist- you just have to look for them.
