This week, I was pleasantly surprised and quite honored to receive word that I had been nominated for the 2019 UMUC Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence Award and the UMUC Teaching Recognition Award. Though I was not selected as a finalist this year, I am none-the-less humbled that I was even being considered for this student-nominated award. With over a decade of collegiate instructional experience, it is good know that my students value my skills in promoting student learning and providing a high-quality education to UMUC's learners. I will endeavor to continue honing my instructional skills and maybe, in the future, be selected for this prestigious award.
