ULTRA-NUCLEASE

ULTRA-NUCLEASE

Introduction: ULTRA-NUCLEASE

UltraNuclease is a genetically engineered broad-spectrum nuclease originating from Serratia Marcescens. It can degrade all forms of DNA and RNA, including single-stranded, double-stranded, linear, natural, and denatured nucleic acids, and digest them into 5'-oligonucleotide monophosphate of 3-5 base in length with no base-specific recognition. Therefore, it is the most ideal enzyme preparation for removing nucleic acid.

Product Nature:

UltraNuclease is an endonuclease, which can degrade all forms of DNA and RNA, hydrolyze the phosphodiester bond of nucleotides like other incision enzymes, and completely digest all free nucleotides. UltraNuclease consists of two subunits of a molecular weight of about 30kDa, with an isoelectric point of 6.85.

Freeze-thaw Stability:

Activity detection is conducted after repeated freezing and thawing of the enzyme solution of UltraNuclease final product at -80℃, and a slight decrease in enzyme activity was found after the fourth freeze-thawing cycle at -80℃. Therefore, to prevent loss of the activity of UltraNuclease, the recommended storage temperature is -20℃.

Influence of Surface-Active Agent:

SDS exerts a great influence on the activity of UltraNuclease. 0.1% SDS inhibits more than half of the activity of UltraNuclease; when the content of TritonX-100, Tween 20, and Tween 80 is no more than 1.5%, the activity of UltraNuclease is basically unaffected.

Product Application

  1. Remove nucleic acids wrapped around the surface of virus particles, to promote virus release and purification.
  2. Remove the exogenous nucleic acids in vaccine products, to lower the risk of residual toxicity of nucleic acid and improve product safety.
  3. Reduce feed viscosity caused by nucleic acid during drug purification, accelerate the process of purification treatment, and increase protein recovery yield.
  4. Remove nucleic acids in gene therapy, to obtain the purified adeno-associated virus.
  5. Used in sample preparation during column chromatography, electrophoresis, and western blotting, to improve resolution and recovery rate.
  6. Prevent cell clustering.
