The Ultimate Pitch

Do you know your elevator pitch?
Last week, I had the absolute honour of judging the Ultimate Pitch Programme from Go Succeed. The business community came together to support local entrepreneurs who we're brave enough to stand up and shout confidently about their new business ideas. organised by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council as part of a wider NI programme. An energetic event hosted by Tina Calder & Alder(wo)man Amanda Grehan with an award presentation by myself and Alderman Alan Ewart MBE.
It seem like yesterday (Not 20 years ago!) that Annie and I we're standing in a similar spot pitching SUKI to the world! Programmes like this empower people to turn their innovative ideas into reality, creating jobs and stimulating the local economy.
Emma Stephenson Co Founder of Feminatech secured a prize of £1,000 and is in with a chance to secure the grand prize of £6,000 at final.
Alongside my fellow judges Jeb Berkeley (South Eastern Regional College) and Dave Linton (Madlug?) we also nominated category award winners at the event in Lagan Valley Island. Sarah Jane Reynolds of JKS Inclusion won the local inclusive entrepreneurship category, Gail Cook Cook secured the impact category and Emma Stephenson was also chosen as the local ‘rising star’ category winner.
Good luck Emma for the grand final on November 21st in Belfast!
