The Ultimate Partner Program Performance Dashboard
Wouldn’t it be great to serve every partner in your channel ecosystem an up-to-date snapshot of exactly where they stand versus their individualized plan that is automatically updated 24 hours a day / 7 days per week? For channel executives this is almost impossible to deliver in an easy-to-access / easy-to-view format. The reason is that the measurement and tracking of partner program metrics are often in different systems and there is no easy way to pull it together in one simple-to-access partner-friendly format.
Announcing the Easy-to-Implement Ultimate Partner Performance Dashboard:
Finally, there is a single dashboard system that can pull together all key partner program metrics from the top five metric categories in one usable format. There are four factors that make achieving the partner performance dashboard so difficult.
Why so Hard to Deliver Partner Performance Dashboards:
1) Multiple data sources: Too often partner program metrics are tracked and measured in different systems making it difficult to consolidate
2) Calculated values: Several of the most insightful metrics are derived calculated values
3) Partner and Channel Manager Access is Challenging: Providing access to both partners in individual views and Channel Managers in rollup views is difficult
4) Many Different Metrics for Different Program Performance Dimensions: Each attribute of your partner program requires different metrics to monitor the health of your program
These four factors lead many channel executives to either only measure some program requirements or none of them. Far too many partners and programs never set goals and measure performance. As a result, partnerships don’t live up to their potential and produce much less revenue than is possible.
A hardworking channel system design sets partner program performance metrics in all five of these categories. This provides a channel manager with all the critical revenue, partner rep, deal, product, and end customer metrics to conduct a comprehensive program performance review.
The Challenge: How to pull all of this together in one place for CAMs and partners.
This is a difficult problem to address given the four factors cited above. The challenge is operational in nature. Channel organizations are simply unable to pull together these performance dashboards in a usable format to facilitate partner goal setting and QBRs for regular progress reporting and planning corrective action. Here are the typical methods employed by channel operations executives to address this need.
How Channel Operations Teams Attempt to Solve Partner Performance Dashboard (PPD) Requirements:
1) Let CAMs Build Their Own:
Pros: Little to no benefit
Cons: CAMs have too much to do and not enough time to do it.
2) Attempt to Build Performance Dashboards in Salesforce:
Pros: Lots of flexibility
Cons: Lots of work, need to hire a Salesforce developer, and limited out-of-the box partner program metrics
3) Attempt to Build Performance Dashboards in PRM Systems:
Pros: Some flexibility
Cons: Still a need to integrate data from multiple systems and create calculated metrics not pre-built in PRM system
4) Attempt to Build Performance Dashboards in Analytic Applications:
Pros: Lots of flexibility
Cons: Lots of work and limited ability to present both partner-level and rollup level reporting and require a dedicated resource(s) to build and maintain
5) Utilize a Purpose-Built System Specifically Designed for Partner Program Performance:
Pros: Automatically calculated metrics across all five categories, instant partner level display and PPT export, and integrated rollup reporting at all levels of channel org
Cons: No cons
This purpose-built solution is available today from Successful Channels and easily integrates with your PRM system via SSO and UI integration. It also integrates with Salesforce to bring in all the raw data to generate all the calculated performance metrics instantly.
This Partner Performance Dashboard System integrates seamlessly with your PRM system or anywhere your partners go today to get access to partner program information. It serves as an instant partner business plan and QBR review. It also exports directly to PowerPoint for an efficient partner review.
This purpose-built Partner Performance Dashboard system is often the #1 visited page in your partner program because it brings together all key program metrics in one easy-to-access / downloadable view. Also, partner programs often have different partner types, achievement levels, or geographies that require the use of different metrics by type. This same system can be configured conditionally to display different metrics by partner type, level or any other grouping necessary to support your program performance management.
Pre-Built Integration and Advanced Calculations all Standard:
The primary reason that this Partner Performance Dashboard system is so easy to configure is that it is designed to integrate all the raw data from Salesforce and other sources and not be dependent on calculations done in other systems. This makes the selection, calculation and display of over 75 pre-build partner program performance metrics simple and instant.
Data and integration has been one of the biggest program limitations for channel teams for years. It prevents channel executives from building deeper partner commitments with partner business plans and QBRS. Lack of data and integration also prevents the tracking and building of stronger capabilities to support a vendor’s brand. And the lack of data and integration also prevents the development of more partner-led revenue by not consolidating all deal registrations, leads and account planning opportunities together in one view.
This Partner Performance Dashboard helps solve all of these problems in one unified view served wherever your partners go to get information about your brand. Not only will your partners love it but it frees your Channel Managers from tedious data research and report building and allows them to focus on being more effective growth consultants to your partners. Armed with this dashboard, your channel team can do much more with their partners in a fraction of time to build deep, long-lasting, revenue-producing partnerships.

3 年Managing partner performance and providing them visibility in a dynamic way is a challenge for any indirect business, and usually managed badly. But it's not just a problem for a channel business, as we focus more on customer success and customer satisfaction any mature business with a broad portfolio is facing the same challenges of providing a holistic view - challenged with multiple data sources and SLA's and the customer success team or account managers are faced with collating reporting from multiple systems for a regular review, when we should be focused on developing no touch self service models, and QBR's can become forward looking rather than backward looking.

4 年For me the key thing is that without relevant, reliable channel performance data, executives can more easily be skeptical of the value of an indirect channel. My guess is that many readers encounter this issue every day, even though an indirect channel is typically a low cost of acquisition channel that would get more attention and investment if we simply had the data to back up our "the channel is great" claims.
