The Ultimate Limit
Years ago, Reza Ganjavi felt devastated as discovered his salary at Solico Company was significantly lower than some of his direct reports. Despite pouring his hard work into the company, he felt betrayed by this realization.
However, the CEO's response was unexpected: "Son, never linger where you don't know what you're going to get besides money!" He claimed to have provided everything Reza asked for. At that moment, Reza couldn't grasp the significance of those words as he hadn't fully understood his own expectations or what he truly sought. Nevertheless, that memory remained etched in his mind.
Today, he recognizes that his time at that company and the CEO taught him invaluable lessons that surpassed any other experiences. This realization prompts him to continually raise his expectations, believing that the ultimate limit for humans lies within their expectations, which extend beyond mere monetary gain.
As the year draws to a close, it's a fitting time to contemplate resolutions and expectations.
Alicia Hammersmith taught me the importance of asking 'why' and 'how' when setting resolutions. Addressing the 'why' helps us define our missions in both personal and professional realms. Subsequently, we can craft a vision and outline resolutions through the 'how' questions.
It's crucial to always ask ourselves if we're on the path to becoming better versions of ourselves.
Wishing you joyous holidays and treasured moments with your loved ones,
Mohsen
