In this second part of our UC series, we’ll guide you through completing the application and share valuable tips. Let’s get started!

Filling out the University of California (UC) application is a detailed and important process for students seeking admission to one of the UC campuses.

The UC system has nine undergraduate campuses, and the application process allows students to apply to one or more campuses using the same form.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you successfully fill out the UC application:

Step 1: Create a UC Application Account

1. Visit the UC Application Website: Go to UC Application.
2. Register for an Account: Provide your email, create a password, and fill in personal details to register. Make sure to use an email address that you check regularly, as all communication from UC will be sent there.
3. Note Deadlines: The application opens on August 1, and the submission period is from November 1 to November 30. Plan your timeline accordingly.

Step 2: Fill in Personal Information

2. Application Fees: The fee is $70 per campus for U.S. applicants and $80 per campus for international applicants. Fee waivers are available for eligible students, covering up to four campuses.

1. High School Coursework:

• If your school is on a semester system, list grades for each semester; for quarter systems, list them accordingly.

3. Edit and Proofread: Take time to draft, revise, and polish your answers. Ask a teacher or counselor to review your responses.

• You will need to select a major for each campus. UC campuses allow you to select an alternate major in case your first choice is highly competitive.
• If you are undecided, many UC campuses offer the option of applying as an undeclared major.
