The Ultimate Fight Worth Striving For

The Ultimate Fight Worth Striving For

The struggle to be the best version of yourself is the ultimate fight worth striving for.

Consider what the best version of yourself looks like, feels, and acts like, and use that as a guide to map your best self-journey. Do not give in to the temptation of comparing yourself with others. Instead, remember your definition of your best self.

The definition of “best self” is subjective.

I think of it this way:

“I am a generous, compassionate, and imperfect human being who works every day at getting one percent better than I was the previous day.

I wake up daily filled with gratitude and seek to help and serve as many people as possible.

I love my wife, kids, seven grandchildren, and family, and do my best to demonstrate that love daily.

My time is precious because it is limited. I take care of my mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. And there is no room for pettiness, egotism, or bitterness in my life.

I invest time to reflect at the end of each day. But I’m still learning that there are lessons I need to know to be my best self.

If I must choose between being kind or right, I prefer to be kind.”

  • Where do you see yourself in five years?
  • What small things do you hope to have changed?
  • What significant changes do you anticipate?
  • What does your best self look like?

Be yourself, but be your best self. Happy Monday!
