ULTIMATE EXECUTIVE TEAM ACCOUNTABILITY ??

ULTIMATE EXECUTIVE TEAM ACCOUNTABILITY ??

As healthcare executives, the responsibility extends far beyond the office, meeting rooms, and the boardroom. The executives are the guardians of the organization's success, culture, and legacy.?

Here's what it means to embrace ultimate accountability:

?? Performance: We drive excellence in every aspect of our operations, ensuring that we exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results.?

We are accountable by setting measurable goals for continual improvement that move us to high reliability. We aren’t quiet about what we are working to improve and how that work is (or isn’t) moving the needle in the right direction.

?? Culture: We don’t leave our workplace culture to chance, we are accountable to design it.?

We understand that “this is how we do things around here” is a workable definition that allows us to be accountable to improving how we consistently do things such as providing feedback, investing in employee and leadership development, communicating, recognizing contributions, and celebrating our wins and progress.

?? Future: We chart the course for our organization's growth and evolution, making strategic decisions that secure our position in a rapidly changing world.

We are accountable to execute a robust strategic planning cycle, a goal cycle, and a budget cycle. Our multi-year strategies become annual goals and action plans that are properly funded through our aligned budgeting decisions.

???? Workforce: We prioritize the well-being and development of our employees, recognizing that they are our most valuable asset and the heart of our success.

We are accountable for having and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for employee recruitment, retention, wellbeing and engagement. We are accountable for how our leaders lead our workforce and for how we actively invite our employees to be major contributors to the initiatives that improve their experiences at work.

?? Patients: We uphold the highest standards of quality and integrity in everything we do, always putting the needs of our patients first and foremost.

We are accountable for having and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for creating safe and satisfying patient experience. We actively invite our employees to be an integral part of these important improvement efforts that positively impact the care provided.

Together, an executive team is accountable to shape not only the present but also the future of their organization.? This requires purpose, passion, and unwavering accountability.

Great stuff Sue Tetzlaff - Culture and Results Catalyst Leaders must model what they expect. The days of giving lip service to cultures of accountability are over. Leaders must make the shift to aligning their behaviors, actions, and conversations around the things you suggest.
